Greater Kansas City ENA Chapter is hosting Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course INSTRUCTOR COURSE Thursday May 7, 2015COURSE DESCRIPTION (CLICK HERE for Brochure) The ENPC (Instructor) course is designed to prepare nurses to become ENPC (Provider) Instructors. The ENPC (I) emphasizes appropriate teaching strategies as well as correct evaluation methods. ACCREDITATION The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation. The ENPC (I) course has been approved for 7.5 CECH's. Participants who attend the entire course will be awarded a CECH certificate. Within one year of completion of the instructor course, the ENPC (I) candidate must participate as an instructor in an ENPC (Provider) course. The candidate will be monitored/ evaluated by an ENPC State Faculty member. REGISTRATION $200.00 Fee includes ENPC (P) instructor manual, and CECHs. Fee DOES NOT includes lunch
REFUNDS Cancellation after April 30, 2015 will be subject to $50 processing fee. No refunds will be made if you are a no call / no show for the course. A refund will be given if the slots are filled after registration is made. If you fail the course you will be able to take it next time it is offered for half price of the course.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Course enrollment is limited to 12 participants. Qualified applicants are registered nurses with an unrestricted license. Applicants must be registered nurses and have current ENPC (P) status. The Emergency Nurses Associations most recent administrative procedures for the ENPC (I) requires that consideration for acceptance in the course be supported by the following documents: Χ A curriculum vitae (CV) which indicates two years experience in the nursing care of the pediatric patient. Χ A letter of recommendation from a professional colleague. The letter should include professional relationship to the applicant and evaluation of the applicant’s formal and/or informal teaching experience. Χ A letter expressing your commitment and interest in teaching future ENPC courses. Χ A copy of your current 4th edition ENPC (P) card. Χ Letter from Course Coordinator of ENPC (P) indicating applicant’s instructor potential. Χ Instructor candidates will reverify as providers WITH THE 4TH EDITION TEST at the beginning of the course. A list of minimum requirements will be included in the confirmation of registration letter. Applicants for this course must submit the above documents and the registration must be submitted as soon as possible, to distribute course materials.
